History of the Group

The original idea for the EHNW was envisioned by local psychotherapist, Bob Edelstein, LMFT. (link to site) His desire was to develop and organization designed to promote passion for the EH perspective that would support those who practice psychotherapy, and in turn, would serve others. The EHNW had it's first meeting of the Organization Development Group, our working board, in November of 2010, and continues to move forward through their work.

The EHNW was initially created with the following four ideas in mind:

    Education
    Advocacy
    Membership, Peer Support, Outreach
    Interdisciplinary

The Existential-Humanistic Perspective is not just an approach to
Psychotherapy, but a way of being with one's self, and in the world.
